Winnie (Kico)
Kico, a sweet, long-legged dachshund mix, started her life at a recycling place in District 7. While the people there were kind, they let her roam freely in the neighborhood, a lifestyle that was far from ideal and safe for a young dog. Kico had a little brother, but one day, he tragically disappeared after wandering off. Realizing that Kico deserved a safer environment and better care, the recyclers made the difficult but compassionate decision to surrender her to Veronica, a fellow animal lover.
Understanding the importance of finding Kico a secure and loving home, Veronica reached out to Laws For Paws Vietnam. We were more than happy to step in and help Kico find her forever family. We brought her over to our shelter, where she could safely interact with potential adopters and show them what an incredible dog she is. It didn’t take long before Kico (now lovingly named Winnie) caught the eye and hearts of two of our amazing long-time volunteers, Brenna and Angus.
The connection between Winnie and her new family was instant. From the moment she arrived at their home, she made herself comfortable, snuggling up on their sofa and filling their hearts with joy. Winnie quickly became the apple of their eye, and now she enjoys a life full of love and adventure. Whether it’s trips to the beach, walks around the block, or simply spending time at home, Winnie’s days are filled with the happiness and security she always deserved.
A special thank you goes out to Veronica and Uc for rescuing Winnie and showing her the power of love and healing. And a heartfelt thanks to Brenna and Angus, not only for their time and dedication as volunteers but for taking a leap of faith and love with Winnie. Their journey together is a beautiful reminder of the magic that happens when a dog finds its forever family.
