Flour
Flour’s journey, like many of our rescues, began in challenging circumstances. Along with her brother Sugar, she lived at a recycling place in District 7. While the people there were kind, they didn’t have the time or resources to properly care for the dogs. Flour and Sugar weren’t originally part of their plan—someone had left the two pups there, as if they were discarded items, like recyclables. Despite the kindness of those around them, the two dogs wandered the streets, even at night, in an unsafe environment.
During the Tet holiday, the workers returned to their hometowns, leaving Flour and Sugar behind. Though some kind neighbors stepped in to feed them, it wasn’t an ideal situation, and their safety was still at risk. That’s when Veronica and Uc stepped in and took these two siblings into their care.
When Flour joined our pack at the shelter, she quickly became a volunteer favorite with her sweet nature and adorable personality. It wasn’t long before she caught the eye—and heart—of one of our regular volunteers.
At first, there was concern, as his partner had a fear of dogs. But with patience and time, a bond began to grow. Flour’s gentle nature worked its magic, and she soon snuggled her way into their hearts, creating a beautiful, loving family.
We recently saw Flour and her new family at our Paws To Park Charity Dog Walk, where their bond shone brightly through their love and smiles. Seeing her thriving in a safe and loving home is exactly the kind of future we hope for all our rescues.
Thank you to everyone involved in Flour’s journey to her forever home, especially to Veronica and Uc for not only rescuing Flour and Sugar but for being instrumental in their readiness for adoption. We couldn’t be more thrilled for her, and we know she has a lifetime of happiness ahead.
