Bonnie

Bonnie’s story began under difficult circumstances. She and her siblings were left behind when the owners of a business in District 7 returned to their hometown, abandoning both their premises and their pets—a male and a pregnant female dog. Tragically, by the time help arrived, the mother dog had already given birth and was battling parvovirus. Despite efforts to save her, she passed away, leaving her newborn puppies, including Bonnie, alone and vulnerable.

Stepping in with kindness and compassion, Mr. Thao, the caretaker of an abandoned school nearby, took it upon himself to care for the orphaned puppies. With help from Rikke, Anh Pham, and Francesca, he ensured they were vaccinated and sterilized. However, when the school faced demolition to make way for apartments, Mr. Thao was left with no choice but to find new homes for the puppies, as his new living arrangements couldn’t accommodate them all.

That’s when Laws For Paws Vietnam stepped in. Bonnie, along with her siblings Casey and Betty, joined our shelter, and we made it our mission to find them the loving families they deserved. Bonnie, the quieter of the trio, quickly won hearts. It wasn’t long before her perfect forever family came along, drawn to her sweet nature and gentle spirit.

Today, Bonnie lives a life filled with love, care, and an endless supply of toys. Her home is one where she feels safe and cherished—a far cry from her challenging beginnings. Seeing her joy reminds us why we do what we do, and it’s even more heartwarming to know that all three siblings have now found amazing families to call their own.
