Join the Care Collective
The Care Collective is the community of monthly supporters whose ongoing contributions provide the stability needed to sustain rescue, rehabilitation, and shelter operations at Laws for Paws Vietnam.
More puppies = more first vaccines, tick and flea, dewormer, and blood test panels.
Monthly support allows us to plan ahead, maintain consistent standards of care, and provide the long term care our dogs require. Your monthly support directly determines the level of care we can provide.
Driving Change
We can't change the lives of dogs without changing the way people think about them.
Rescue is only one part of what we do at Laws for Paws Vietnam. Finding homes for dogs in our care matters, but so does reaching the people who may one day choose to adopt, learn about responsible ownership, or simply see animals differently.
That's why partnerships matter.
Our collaboration with MILO Vietnam gives us the opportunity to introduce rescue dogs and adoption to a much wider audience through the “Để con lớn lên năng động cùng MILO và cún cưng” campaign.
For us, it's about more than finding homes. Partnerships like this help bring animal welfare into everyday conversations and reach families who may never otherwise encounter a rescue organisation.
The more people who understand the importance of adoption, responsible pet ownership and compassion towards animals, the greater the opportunity to create lasting change.
We are incredibly grateful to MILO for helping us share that message beyond the shelter, and for giving more people the chance to meet the dogs who are still waiting for their forever homes.
Because every dog deserves a home. And sometimes, finding that home starts with simply reaching the right person.
Adoption Spotlights
Li Xi
-
Just before the Tet holidays, two young European tourists came across little Li Xi in heartbreaking conditions. A street vendor had kept her trapped in a filthy cage, and moved by the urge to help, they purchased her to set her free. While their hearts were absolutely in the right place, we always gently advise against buying from these vendors, as sadly it tends to fuel the cycle, with one puppy sold and another quickly replacing them. But for Li Xi, that act of kindness changed everything.
Named after the lì xì, the lucky red envelopes exchanged during Tet, she arrived into our care as a symbol of fresh starts and new beginnings. She was cleaned up, given the medical attention she needed, and quickly revealed herself to be an absolute sweetheart — easy-going, curious, and full of playful, loyal energy.
Her luck held. Li Xi was welcomed into a wonderful family with two young children, a house with a yard, and a beautiful walking route on their doorstep. She is completely spoilt, endlessly loved, and living every bit the charmed life her name always promised.
Snowy
-
Buddy was one of five puppies left outside our vet clinic, abandoned without a second thought. But from the moment he arrived, it was clear this little guy had no intention of letting a rough start define him. Playful, affectionate, and endlessly curious, he made up for being the smallest of the litter with the biggest personality in the room. A wagging tail, a love of toys, and an equally enthusiastic approach to cuddles — Buddy was ready to pour all of that into the right family.
He found them in a wonderful multigenerational household where he quickly became everyone's favourite. His human sister in particular has completely claimed him as her own, and the feeling is very much mutual. He goes out for walks with the family and comes home to a house full of people who think the world of him.
For a puppy left on a doorstep, he ended up with everything.
Scooby
-
Scooby's story begins with a tourist who refused to look the other way. Exploring Ho Chi Minh City, she spotted him being mistreated and stepped in without hesitation. The full story of his past may never be known, but what is clear is that her quick thinking changed everything. Despite having to leave the country shortly after, she did everything she could to keep him safe and reached out for help.
When we followed up, we found Scooby tied outside a hostel with nothing but a piece of red ribbon. Everyone around him was doing their best, but it was no place for a young pup. We stepped in immediately, getting him to the vet for treatment for parasites and a mild skin infection before placing him in foster care with one of our own team members.
From there, Scooby blossomed into the joyful, playful, big-eared pup we always knew he could be. And those ears? Absolutely made for picking up the sound of a best friend coming around the corner.
That best friend turned out to be Leo. Previous adopters of ours who had given Leo his forever home came back looking to grow their family and find him a companion. They found Scooby, and the rest wrote itself. The two boys are now completely inseparable, tearing around together in the most epic zoomies you've ever seen.

September Recap
Puppy Adoption Day
Our Puppy Adoption Day at Brim Coffee, welcomed families and dog lovers to meet, cuddle, and spend time with our rescue puppies. It was a lovely morning connecting with the community, with lots of people stopping by to say hello. We’re especially happy to share that 5 of our 7 puppies found their forever homes!
Compassionate Canvas
The Compassionate Canvas brought together a wonderful community of artists and animal lovers, raising 78,000,000 VND toward the launch of Urban Glamp. It was a lovely weekend celebrating creativity and supporting a future home for dogs in need, one canvas at a time.
