Lucy

Lucy’s story is one of resilience, love, and an unbreakable bond. Found as a tiny, vulnerable puppy at a rubbish dump in Mui Ne, Lucy had little chance of surviving on her own. Weak, malnourished, and without care, she was in desperate need of help.

That help came in the form of a kind-hearted German tourist, who couldn’t turn away from the little pup struggling to survive. Determined to save her, she gave Lucy the love and care she desperately needed. But as much as she wanted to keep Lucy by her side, she had to return to Germany before Lucy was strong enough to fly. Wanting to ensure Lucy’s safety, she reached out to Laws for Paws Vietnam, and we welcomed Lucy into our care.

With time, medical attention, and plenty of love, Lucy grew into a happy, healthy, and confident young dog. But even from across the world, her rescuer never forgot about her. She followed Lucy’s journey closely, unable to shake the feeling that their story wasn’t over yet. When Lucy was finally ready to travel, her first love made it official—Lucy was going home to Germany!

Now, Lucy’s life is filled with forest hikes, endless adventures, and a loving family, including her new doggy sibling. But what’s even more impressive? Lucy has been learning German like a pro! In just a few short weeks, she mastered her recall commands, proving that she’s not just adorable—she’s also incredibly smart! From a helpless puppy abandoned at a rubbish dump to a beloved pet living her best life, Lucy’s story is a testament to the power of rescue, love, and second chances.

A huge thank you to Lucy’s flight volunteer, who made this heartwarming reunion possible. And of course, an even bigger thank you to her rescuer-turned-mom, who never stopped loving her.
