Miso (Loempia)

Rescue work is often unpredictable, and Miso’s story is a perfect example of how quickly things can change for a dog in need. His journey began when a homeless man was seen riding around Thao Dien with five tiny puppies on his motorbike. One of our supporters stopped to ask if he needed help, initially believing the puppies belonged to his two adult dogs, who were also on the bike. It was late at night, and there wasn’t much we could do at that moment, so we asked him to come back to our vet clinic the next morning.

Despite the pouring rain, the man arrived the next day as promised, bringing the puppies and his two dogs. That’s when we learned the full story—these weren’t his dogs’ puppies. He had actually found them abandoned in a cardboard box on the street. Thankfully, they were in surprisingly good health, with gentle, friendly temperaments. We were also able to help sterilize his two dogs, ensuring they wouldn’t contribute to the growing number of stray animals.

Miso and his siblings settled in quickly at the shelter, but it didn’t take long for Miso to capture the heart of his forever family. Now named Loempia (which means ‘spring roll’ in Dutch), he has found the most wonderful home. With two loving human siblings who adore him, Miso is thriving. His family has been patient and dedicated to his training, helping him grow into the best boy he can be.

From a rainy night on a motorbike to a home filled with love, Miso’s story is a beautiful reminder of the difference kindness and rescue can make.

If you want to help more dogs like Miso find their happy endings, please consider supporting our work through adoption, donations, or volunteering. Every bit of support helps us rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Vietnam’s most vulnerable dogs.
