Sweets came to us thanks to a chain of kind people who refused to look the other way. A landlord found him on the street, sick and skinny, and took him straight to the vet. Unable to keep him himself, he reached out to a tenant in his building who stepped in to help, offering to feed him and keep him safe while they searched for a solution. She couldn’t take him in permanently because of her own dog, but she wasn’t willing to give up on him either. She reached out to us, offered to help with vet bills, and asked if we could give this little boy a chance.

We could, and we did. Sweets arrived in rough shape but with something quietly unbreakable about him. Today he is thriving, living up to the name that suits him perfectly.
