Speedy
My Rescue Tale
Speedy and her sister Racey almost never got the chance to find a family who would love them. When one of the vets at our clinic learned that their owner was planning to sell them for dog meat, she acted immediately. These two little girls were handed over to us, and their story took a very different turn.
It is a heartbreaking reality in Vietnam that unwanted puppies so often end up in the most desperate of situations. When families are unprepared for the responsibility and financial pressure that comes with unplanned litters, it is innocent young lives like Speedy and Racey who pay the price. It is exactly why sterilization is one of the most important things a pet owner can do.
When Speedy arrived, she was struggling with a severe worm burden, a sign of the neglect she had already experienced in her short life. Our vet team got to work straight away, and with the right treatment she responded quickly and well. She has also received her first round of vaccines and tick prevention treatment. Now settled at our shelter, this fluffy little teddy bear is soaking up every bit of love and socialization she can get, learning to navigate the world alongside people and other dogs. We will be working with her on toilet training and leash training as she grows, setting her up to be the most wonderful companion.
Speedy is ready to find her people. Could that be you? Reach out today to learn more about bringing this adorable girl home.
