On November 17, 2024, Rose was one of 16 dogs rescued from a dog meat restaurant in Dong Nai, in a joint operation by Humane World for Animals and the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services.

The dogs had endured horrific conditions — captured, sold, and forced to witness the slaughter of others. But Rose’s story didn’t end there. After months of recovery in Long Khanh City, she came into our care at Laws for Paws Vietnam, ready for her second chance.

At the shelter, Rose has begun her healing journey. She’s formed special bonds with some of our adult and student volunteers and is slowly gaining confidence each day. Her gentle nature and playful side is shining through as she learns to trust again. 

Rose is looking for a calm, peaceful home where she can feel safe and continue to build her confidence. She’d do beautifully in a home with one other gentle dog or as a solo companion where she can soak up all your love.
