Racey

My Rescue Tale

Racey and her sister Speedy came to us under the most sobering of circumstances. One of the vets at our clinic discovered that their owner intended to sell them for dog meat, and without a moment's hesitation, she stepped in to save them. These two girls deserved so much better, and now they are going to get it.

Stories like Racey's are a reminder of why sterilization matters so deeply in Vietnam. Unplanned litters place enormous strain on families who are not prepared for the responsibility, and it is the puppies who suffer the consequences. We will keep fighting for them, one rescue at a time.

Like her sister, Racey arrived with a severe worm burden that pointed to a difficult start in life. Our vet team treated her promptly and she responded well. She has also received her first round of vaccines and tick prevention treatment, and is now happily settling into shelter life. Socialization is well underway as she learns to be around people and other dogs, and we will be working with her on toilet training and leash training to give her the best possible foundation for life in a forever home.

Racey is every bit as sweet and loveable as she looks. If you are looking for a joyful, fluffy addition to your family, we would love to introduce you. Message us today to find out more.
