May
My Rescue Tale
May's story is one that starts with heartbreak and ends with hope. Abandoned and chased away from the compound where she had been living, she was left malnourished and with nowhere to go. With no one to speak up for her, she was on the verge of being sold to a slaughterhouse.
It was a kind woman at the compound who changed everything. She couldn't bear to see May suffer, and although she wasn't able to take her in herself, she refused to walk away. She called on a friend, who stepped in without hesitation and rescued May from what could have been a very different fate.
At the vet, May was diagnosed with E-canis and severe malnutrition. With proper medical care and an enormous amount of love, she made a full recovery and is now in great health. She moved between foster homes while finding her footing, eventually settling in with her rescuer in District 7 before joining us at the shelter. And in every single home she has lived in, May has been the same dog: the most cuddly, devoted, and gentle companion you could ask for.
May is ready for her forever home, and she has so much love left to give. If your home is a calm and gentle one, it might just be the perfect fit for this sweet girl. Reach out today to find out more about giving May the life she has always deserved.
