Maddi’s story is one of resilience, love, and the strength of community. She and her four siblings were born next to someone’s home under tragic circumstances. Their mother passed away while giving birth. In desperation, the homeowner reached out for help, and a kind community member quickly alerted us.

Without hesitation, our longtime puppy fosters, Jessie and Milan, stepped in to help. They provided round-the-clock care to the newborn pups, but sadly, despite all their efforts, four of the five puppies passed away within days; this is a heartbreaking but not uncommon outcome for orphaned neonates.

But little Maddi is a fighter. Against the odds, she pulled through and not only survived but thrived. Now, she’s grown into a feisty, confident, and affectionate pup who brings joy to everyone who meets her. Her transformation is nothing short of a miracle, made possible by the love of her foster family and the community around her.
