Dolla

My Rescue Tale

Dolla’s journey started in a community where she lived with a family whose main income came from collecting trash and recycling. Despite the difficult circumstances, the family cared for her for around 10 years. Unfortunately, living in such an environment took a toll on Dolla’s health. She struggled with severe demodex (a painful skin infection), teeth problems, and eye infections. She had many litters over the years, and her body showed the strain of it all.

When the family was moved out of the area for housing development, they couldn’t bring Dolla with them to their new home. Concerned for her safety and well-being,we stepped in to help. They had already faced the danger of dog thieves trying to buy Dolla, which the family refused, and it was clear she needed our help. After spending a couple of months at our vet clinic receiving the care she needed, Dolla is now safe, comfortable, and loved at our shelter. Though her skin is still healing, she is no longer in pain and is a calm, affectionate older girl. Dolla even enjoys being a patient aunty to the puppies at the shelter, showing just how gentle and loving she is.

We would love to see Dolla find her forever family, where she can live out her golden years basking in the sun and receiving all the belly rubs she deserves. She is an incredibly loving senior dog who will make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm and affectionate friend. She’s ready to live the peaceful life she’s always deserved, surrounded by love and care. If you’re ready to give this gentle soul a forever home, Dolla is waiting for you. Reach out today to meet her and help make her dreams come true!
