Bourbon

My Rescue Tale

Bourbon’s road to us was a rough one. This gentle Husky was found on the street, severely underweight and covered in ticks, with all the signs of a dog who had been neglected by someone who simply couldn’t keep up with his needs. Huskies are active, intelligent, and demanding dogs, and somewhere along the way, his previous owner couldn’t give him what he required. The result was a dog left to fend for himself.

Once he was in care, Bourbon showed everyone exactly who he is beneath all that neglect. Sweet-natured, affectionate, and completely non-aggressive, he took to recovery with the same quiet resilience that defines him. He was fully cleared of his tick infestation, groomed, and within just two weeks had already gained a kilogram. He loves cuddles, he loves other dogs, and he has been making great progress with his leash training.

Bourbon deserves a fresh start with a family who truly understands what a Husky needs and is ready to give it to him. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
