Peanut

Some rescue stories remind us just how powerful a single act of kindness can be—and Peanut’s story is one of them.

Peanut and his three siblings started their lives in the most heartbreaking way. Abandoned and left helpless under a bridge between District 4 and District 7, their future looked uncertain. But fate had other plans. A kind-hearted supporter—who had previously adopted a dog from us—happened to witness a man dumping the tiny puppies. When he approached and asked why, the man simply replied, “I don’t want them anymore.”

Without hesitation, our amazing supporter stepped in and gave these four little fighters their first chance at life. He cared for them for three days while we prepared space at the shelter. And when they finally joined our pack, we made sure they had everything they needed to not just survive—but thrive.

With proper medical care, vaccinations, deworming, and lots of nutritious food and love, Peanut grew stronger and more confident each day. His playful spirit and handsome little face quickly stole the hearts of everyone he met—but it wasn’t long before his forever family found him.

The perfect match came along—a wonderful mother-daughter duo who had already opened their hearts and home to one of our rescues, Pia, before COVID. They live in a lovely home with a cozy garden and have a deep love for Vietnam’s beautiful local dog breeds. With three daily walks, endless belly rubs, and a commitment to giving their dogs the happiest lives possible, they knew Peanut was the missing piece of their family.

Now, Peanut is living his best life with his new family and doggy sister, Pia. His days are filled with fun walks, spirited games of tug, and all the love a dog could ever dream of. He’s found his forever—and it’s everything we could have wished for.

Stories like Peanut’s are only possible because of the incredible support from our community. With your help, we can rescue more dogs in need, provide lifesaving care, and find loving homes where they can truly belong.

Support our mission by adopting, donating, and sharing our stories. Together, we can save more lives and give every dog the second chance they deserve. ❤️
