Nov & Dec Event Highlights
November and December were filled with warmth and festive spirit as the year came to a close - with a calendar full of community-focused events that brought everyone together.
Saigon Loco Went Wild – and the Impact Was Unforgettable!
Saigon Loco was more than just a night out - it was a celebration of community, compassion, and coming together for a cause that truly matters. From dancing and singing to shouting “BINGO” at the top of our lungs, the energy in the room was electric. And thanks to everyone who showed up and went absolutely loco with us, something incredible happened.

Paws and Play - Adoption Days
Our Puppy and Clinic Adoption Days gave rescue dogs the chance to meet potential adopters and find their forever homes. From playful puppies at Brim Coffee to calm, loving teen and adult dogs at Saigon Pet Veterinary Hospital, each event highlighted that there’s a perfect dog for every lifestyle. Thank you to everyone who came along, asked questions, and considered adoption - your support truly changes lives.
Paws on the Dance Floor - Zumba
We wrapped up the year on a high note with Paws on the Dancefloor! Our expert Zumba class had everyone dancing, laughing, and raising funds for Laws for Paws Vietnam, proving that fitness, fun, and festive cheer go paw in paw. A huge thank you to all who joined - your energy and generosity ended the year on the perfect note!
Our Impact Together
Community Fundraisers
The festive spirit was alive with our Santa Paws Advent Calendar, and thanks to our event sponsor Pet’s Warehouse, every 50K donated during the calendar period gifted a Christmas pack including kibble, pâté, and shampoo to our shelter pups.
But, the fun doesn’t stop there! Our amazing partners Pawsclub, Pawy, Vua Vua, and Buttercup Tattoo are continuing their special deals throughout the month, with a portion of each purchase going directly to support rescue dogs. It is a whole month of giving, joy, and holiday paw-sitivity.
Get Arty - Art Sale Weekend
We are so grateful to Get Arty Saigon for choosing us as their Christmas Charity Partner for their Art Sale Weekend. Thanks to the generosity of the talented artists Khue On The 13th, Punk Dragon Design, Fine Art Stock, and Tom Smith, along with everyone who came, shopped, and entered the prize draw, a total of 11.8 million VND was raised to support our shelter. This incredible support reminds us of the power of community and creativity.
And here’s a glimpse at some of the wonderful moments from community-hosted fundraisers over the last month! This community is everything.

Education in Action
Its been a big finish to the year for our education program!
We are incredibly grateful to the British International School, Saigon South International School, and the International School of Ho Chi Minh City for inviting us to join their Christmas markets. Through merchandise sales and generous in-kind donations, a total of 12.48 million VND was raised to support our shelter dogs with essential care and supplies.
Wrapping up the year we have had the British International School Year 13 Spanish class, using the shelter as an extension to their classroom. The students answered questions in Spanish as they assisted with washing dogs and cleaning the shelter.
Maison des Lycéens joined us for a session on animal welfare organised by their Humanitarian Pole, with an amazing +2 million VND donation raised.
We also welcomed two very dedicated students from European International School to the shelter, who have chosen Laws For Paws Vietnam as their project for 2026. Their plans include not only raising funds, but also to start a school club and help raise awareness about animal welfare. Amazing work!
Insight Spotlight
Project Con Dao - Why Outreach Matters
At Laws for Paws Vietnam, our work doesn’t stop at the shelter door. Our recent Con Dao mission, now completing Phase 2, highlights why stepping into communities is a crucial part of animal welfare.
1. Community Engagement Drives Change
Going out into the community allows us to meet animals and owners where they are, address immediate welfare needs, and educate locals on responsible care. Phase 1 and 2 of our Con Dao mission brought essential medical treatment to over 82 animals, building trust and awareness around proper animal care.
2. Sterilisation is the Most Effective Outreach Tool
Through sterilisation, we tackle the root causes of overpopulation, preventing unnecessary suffering, reducing demands on resources, and stray overpopulations. In Phase 2, we sterilised one dog and 5 cats, ensuring these animals can lead healthier lives and helping the community manage growth sustainably.
3. Long Term Impact is Built Through Consistent Presence
Outreach programs create lasting change by combining treatment, education, and preventative care. Every visit lays the groundwork for responsible pet ownership and stronger community support for animal welfare - transforming lives well beyond the immediate treatment we provide in this project.
Our Con Dao mission demonstrates that advocacy outside the shelter is more than giving medical care - its about planting the seeds for a compassionate, sustainable future for animals and communities alike.
Adoption Spotlights
Fiona
-
Fiona is one of the beautiful puppies born to Kiki, a dog living in our shelter compound. Kiki’s owner, Ms Trang, had not planned for her to have puppies, but after missing the chance to sterilize her, she became pregnant by a male Phu Quoc dog living nearby. Unfortunately, his owners refused support for sterilization, and Ms Trang could not afford to care for the litter. That’s when we stepped in to help. We are also supporting Kiki’s sterilization to prevent this from happening again.
From the very start, Fiona stood out as a confident, playful puppy who loved being around people. She grew strong and healthy in our care, always eager for attention and ready to explore the world around her.
It didn’t take long for the perfect family to find her. Fiona was adopted by a loving family with two young sons and a cat, and she settled right in. With a big garden to play in and two human brothers who adore her, Fiona spends her days playing fetch, learning new skills, and enjoying life as part of a busy, happy household.
Fiona’s story is a reminder of how early support, responsible sterilization, and adoption can change lives.

Maggie
-
Maggie is one of Fiona’s sisters from Kiki’s litter, and from early on she showed a curious, adventurous spirit. Growing up in our care, she thrived with attention, play, and plenty of social time, developing into a confident and happy pup.
Maggie was adopted by an active, outdoors-loving family from Japan who were looking for a dog to share their adventures. Now living in District 7, she enjoys daily walks through nearby parks, new sights and smells, and a life filled with movement, love, and exploration.
Maggie’s journey shows how quickly a rescue puppy can blossom when given the right start and a family ready to welcome them.

Winnie
-
Winnie, sister to Fiona and Maggie, has always been a people-lover at heart. Friendly, affectionate, and happiest when surrounded by her humans, she quickly showed just how special she was as she grew in our care.
Winnie was adopted by a wonderful French family who were looking for the perfect pup to complete their home. From the very beginning, she fit right in. Today, she’s not just part of the household, but firmly part of the family, soaking up attention and giving just as much love in return.
Winnie’s story is a beautiful example of how the right match can turn a rescue puppy into a cherished family member.
